This is a game one canвЂ™t rush through to truly experience it. So that, in quick succession, is most of what I thought about while playing BioShock Infinite. Like I said, IвЂ™m still early in the game, so IвЂ™ll hold my final judgement on Elizabeth for now. Elizabeth requires no protection from the player, and she frequently lends a hand by pulling in cover through rifts, or tossing the player ammo and health packs. ThereвЂ™s nothing I find particularly sexist about the character. And part of me canвЂ™t help but feel like she was designed for male players to fall in love with. I said Elizabeth is impossible not to like, but IвЂ™m saying that as a man. Her appearance and innocent naivety have some calling her the Disney princess of video games. Elizabeth is almost impossible not to like. SheвЂ™s a character that I know is designed to eventually pull at my heart-strings, and IвЂ™m dreading that moment. Needless to say, you probably have some friends/family who will be offended by Infinite, but not because of the violence. The game quickly goes to some places that left me genuinely shaken.

Infinite is dripping with commentary on topics such as racism and religion. ItвЂ™s a game where you need to stop, look and listen to understand what Irrational is trying to whisper to you.

IвЂ™m always compelled to seek out every voice recording and eavesdrop on the conversations of ColumbiaвЂ™s citizens because thatвЂ™s exactly how one learns about InfiniteвЂ™s world. I usually have a very hard time deciding which gun to carry because of this.Д®ven when there arenвЂ™t any explosions happening, BioShock is fun to just experience. Having the ability to carry multiple weapons would allow me to experiment with even more plasmid and gun combinations. Infinite isnвЂ™t concerned with following other modern FPS conventions, so why does it stick to this one? The only thing thatвЂ™s been bothering me so far is only being able to carry two weapons at a time. The fact that each level has a built-in roller coaster which the player and enemies can use makes it even more frantic, and introduces a perfectly suited platforming element. Not only am I gifted with plasmid powers that let me summon a murder of crows to do my bidding, but my ally Elizabeth can bend the space-time continuum to summon objects into the world.ДЄll these fantastic powers make for a much more chaotic and imaginative combat system thatвЂ™s a refreshing change from playing as yet another super space soldier.
